Investors In People – Another String To Our Bow

Being a recruitment agency, we’re all about people. We know the importance of investing in people, their skills and their experience. So with that, we have always put our staff forward. As a result we are delighted to announce that yet again we have achieved the Investors in People accreditation.

80,000 Hours

That’s how long most of us will spend at work in our lifetimes. It equates to about 1/3 of our life. For something that takes up that much of our time, people deserve to get more out of it than a monthly pay cheque. They definitely deserve more than lying awake on Sunday nights, worrying about the week ahead. They deserve to do their best work. To know they’re in a place where they can grow. To get to the end of the day, and feel like they’ve achieved something. They deserve, purpose, a sense of recognition, wellbeing and the opportunity to do more.

For nearly 30 years Investors in People has been recognised internationally as a leading people accreditation, making work better for over 11 million people, in over 14,000 organisations in over 75 countries worldwide. Their framework has led the way in providing the basis and structure to provide a work environment that people want to belong to.

Nearly two thirds (57%) of organisations think Investors in People helps their staff be more productive.*

And over 75% of Investors in People organisations in Scotland say it has had a positive impact, particularly around employee engagement, learning effectiveness and organisation performance.**

Here’s a summary of the nine different indicators – the key areas where we have been assessed:

Leaders are trusted members of the company. They clearly communicate the company’s objectives and motivate and inspire people to work towards them.

There’s a culture of trust and responsibility in the company. Each person feels ownership over their role and empowered to make decisions.

The company rewards people when they do well. People feel motivated to always do their best work.

Each role is designed in a way that works towards the company’s objectives, creates rewarding work for people, and encourages people to work together.
